Everlasting Smile |
Michelle & Ryan
Ryan Foss graduated from
Huron High School in the spring of 2000. Michelle Saunders graduated from Huron in 2001...
If you didnt know either of these girls, it wouldve taken just one little conversation to understand what made them special.
Ryan had her own special way of doing things.. Her own special touch.. She did things her way.. And nobody argued with that.

She loved cheerleading... And if there was a bigger camera ham in the school system then Ryan Foss, I've yet to see them... Ryan had that personality that nobody could hate... Her love for the football team and her cheerleading friends will never be forgotten.. I remember the final football game. Ryan and Michele Meyer were standing in front of the home side, and long before kickoff, Ryan was painting a Tiger Paw on Michele's face... She saw me taping.. turned with a smile and talked as she continued her painting....

Then she finished the Tiger Paw. stepped back and stared out toward the team... Then proceeded to tell me this was their final home game, and it was really sad.. As the evening progressed Ryan continued to show that glowing spirit...

This is how Ryan was...... Funny, great personality... And just alot of fun to be around... Ryan's love for cheerleading was incredible...
After Ryan graduated from Huron, her and I still would often chat online...She'd talk about school, but mostly she was interested in if "I was getting plenty of her kid sister Megan on tape"... I'd say yeah I'm taping her... But, that wasnt what she wanted to hear.... She would reply.. NOW Hardy,,, make sure you get plenty of her on tape...I would laugh and say...Yes, dear..whatever you say....She'd reply..haha!~ thats more like it....Moments later she'd say something like... Well I'll be home for the Perkins game.. So make sure you see me and say hi.... I said ok I will do that...
You see, this is Ryan!! Its her style... Its a style that will long live with me.. A style that I will take with me forever!!!
Some people never could understand why I would tape cheerleading... Simple reply.. Girls like Ryan deserve everything they can get.... And while her "everlasting smile" will live forever.... So will her many memories on video!!!
Michelle Saunders
Michelle was a unique girl.... Kinda quiet, but always smiling... Her smile was her
trademark... Michelle was a member of the 1999 Huron State Volleyball Championship team...
Her respect from her classmates was proved evident by the fact she was crowned homecoming
queen ..

The homecoming queen of 2000. Might have been Michelle's highlight of her high school days.. I remember the following day we had a volleyball match at Sandusky High School... The night before I'd run off a couple pictures of Michelle getting queen. The one above might be the most popular, but she also got a huge kick out of the one below..

This picture above was just seconds after the voice on the PA said "2000 homecoming queen is .... Michelle Saunders! Michelle's mouth gave the OHHH look... then that smile that makes Michelle so special....
On the playing floor.. Michelle worked as hard as any Tiger ever! As a junior her hard work helped the Tigers win their first ever volleyball state championship...
The game ball that was signed by Michelle and her teammates is apart of our history.

And of course as did Ryan, Michelle had her own special way..... Everybody signed this volleyball...But, as I look at the ball....Michelle's signature is larger than everyones..

The #12 for the Huron Tigers Volleyball program is now Michelle's forever. We will remember what she meant to all of us... Her wonderful smile, her glow... Michelle was one of Huron's most popular student/athletes in the schools history.
